Having partnerships with other people who want to promote cycling is an essential part of our work.

Pedal Ready works with the following organisations and local authorities:

Sheffield City Council

We are contracted by Sheffield City Council to provide Bikeability training to school students throughout the city, and to help residents and workers of Sheffield get into cycling through our adult training schemes.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council fund us to deliver Bikeability training to school students across Rotherham.

Sustrans

We assist Sustrans with their Bike It project across Sheffield and Rotherham.

The Peak District National Park Authority and Sustainable Bakewell

The Peak District National Park Authority and Sustainable Bakewell have worked with us to enable more ‘Everyday Cycling’ in the Peak District.

CTC

In partnership with CTC (the Cyclists’ Touring Club) Sheffield Cycle Champion Steve Marsden we started Cycle for Health and Learn to Ride sessions across Sheffield and these still run with his continued support.

CTC – Sheffield & District

Many of our trainers are members of the CTC and we work with Sheffield and District CTC http://www.sheffieldctc.org/ to try and increase their membership and support their programme of family rides.

ReCycle Bikes

Part of the Heeley Development Trust, ReCycle Bikes offer Dr Bike services and cycle maintenance classes as well as a range of servicing and repair services including taking unwanted bikes and bringing them back to life with bikes available to buy on their website www.recyclebikes.co.uk.

Get Cycling

We work with Get Cycling, delivering training to Sheffield employees taking part in their Bikeboost bike loan scheme.

Sheffield NHS

We provide monthly Dr Bike services for Sheffield NHS at the Northern General and Hallamshire hospitals.

Cycle Sheffield

Pedal Ready grew out of Cycle Sheffield or Pedal Pushers as it was then. We continue to work with them to improve facilities for Sheffield Cyclists. Go to www.cyclesheffield.org.uk for more information about their work.

Other organisations

We also work closely with many other organisations who promote cycling and sustainable transport including Recycle Bikes, Heeley and High Green Development Trusts, Sheffield Wellbeing Consortium, Northern Rail, Sheffield Hallam University and many others.
